"Mo Money Mo Problems"
“Mo Money Mo Problems” is the attempt to understand how an Identity of a crypto currency is formed. The complex and decentralized image that has flooded the ethos of bitcoin, has convoluted the image of Bitcoin for the mainstream. I set out to examine the understood identity by different media and political groups and to conclude with a final corporate identity that would help with a wide adoption of the currency. The magazine features self-made posters, collages, and mixed media art, to visualize inherit problems and strengths of different identarian viewpoints on the topic of Bitcoin. It concludes with a new visual identity and a visual study of how symbols and iconography play a role in the creation of a currency’s identity. It was important to capture every viewpoint and not set out with a political bias to create a visual identity. This magazine is heavily inspired by Metahaven’s “Uncorporate Identity”.
